This project was inspired by the word “vulnerability”. The objective of the project was to figure out what vulnerability met to other people and when they experience it the most. Several people were interviews with the single question, “What makes you feel vulnerable?”. Several interesting and heartbreaking stories were shared through this and I tried to capture the powerful emotions vulnerability unleashes in us all. Ominous figures were used to represent the pressure that vulnerability put on us, and the main characters are left in white to represent their purity and difference that makes them stand out amongst the crowd. There are three stories, which each one represents an interviewee’s greatest fear. The first represents trusting their friends and family won’t betray them. The second represents the vulnerability of going out with clothes they feel reveals their insecurities. The third represents speaking your mind, but continuously being misunderstood or rejected.

Mental health has become a big topic nowadays. It was my pleasure to collaborate and create the storyboard for this long form video and social video. These videos are one of the most illustrative videos I made for the IBV. My objective was to make a video that was approachable and sympathetic to those who understand the struggles to mental health.

I collaborated to design the webpage for the IBV featured 2021 women’s month report. I conceptualized and presented the storyboard for the video, and created the visual elements, composition, and illustrations. I did not animate the video, but gave detailed annotations and provided feedback to my teammates when needed.
This project was inspired by the word “Nature”. After reading a Medium article (link), I wanted to create a series of style frames to communicate how much the human species do not fit into the animal kingdom or the Earth. So instead of looking at the advancement of technology today, the focus was on how to communicate humans as aliens in their most primitive nature. That was communicated through manipulation of fire, artificial camouflage, the use of tools instead of claws or teeth, and destruction of the earth instead of adaption.
